Switch from Microsoft To Do

Microsoft To Do is different from most apps here: the plan doesn’t rely on an export file. Instead, you’d sign in with your Microsoft account and Thendoo would read your lists through Microsoft Graph, Microsoft’s API.

Thendoo would ask only for access to read your tasks. When the import finishes, the access token is revoked and deleted. Thendoo keeps nothing that lets it read your Microsoft account later.

  • Lists become Thendoo Lists, each in the Space you pick.
  • Tasks come over with their notes and due dates.
  • Steps inside a task become the task’s checklist.
  • Repeating tasks become repeat rules. Any repeat that doesn’t translate exactly is flagged in the report.

Finished tasks come over as completed and hidden. Open tasks with dates in the past show as Carried over. Times keep the time zone they were set in.

You’ll see a preview with counts before anything is written. Afterwards, the import can be run again without creating duplicates, and you can undo all of it from Import history on Settings → Import for 30 days.

If you want to keep using Microsoft To Do alongside Thendoo, a two-way live connection is planned for a later stage (P2-M16).

Capture the tasks you need this week in Thendoo with Ctrl K (⌘K on a Mac).

Got a long list? Put it in a spreadsheet, one task per row under a header row, and bring it in with the CSV file importer in Settings → Import. You match the columns, see a preview, and can undo for 30 days.
