Does Thendoo use AI?

Only where it actually helps, and always as a suggestion you review, never something that changes your plans on its own.

Today, AI is used for recordings: after you record or upload a conversation, it writes a summary, decisions, open questions and suggested tasks. You choose which tasks to create, and AI text is labelled so you know to check it.

How AI is run:

  • AI features need a connected AI provider. On thendoo.com, you’ll be able to add your own AI key in Settings, so your recordings are processed under your own account. That’s coming soon.
  • “AI: local only” lets you limit AI to a model you run yourself, if your Thendoo server is set up for it.
  • You decide how long recordings’ audio is kept.

More AI helpers are planned: turning a brain dump into tasks, breaking a big task into steps, and proposing a plan for your day. All of them will follow the same rule: you see it, you approve it.
