Take meeting notes from a recording
The Meetings page turns a recorded conversation into notes and a short list of possible tasks. Nothing becomes a task until you say so.
Consent, every single time
Section titled “Consent, every single time”Every recording or upload opens a dialog first. It says “Recording is never silent. Tell everyone before you start.” You must tick Everyone in this conversation knows it’s being recorded (for uploads, Everyone in this recording knew it was being recorded). Thendoo stores the time you confirmed. Recording laws differ by place, so check what applies to you.
Record or upload
Section titled “Record or upload”- Record captures audio in your browser. A bar shows Recording in progress with Pause, Resume and Stop and write notes. If a part fails to send, choose Try sending again. If the tab closed mid-way, Write notes from what was saved still works.
- Upload file takes audio or video in WebM, Ogg, MP3, M4A, MP4 or WAV, up to 500 MB per meeting by default.
The status moves from Recording to Writing notes to Ready. If something goes wrong it shows Needs a retry, the audio is kept, and Try again runs it once more.
What you get
Section titled “What you get”Each meeting shows the notice “Written by AI from the recording. Check before you rely on it.”, then:
- Summary, Decisions and Open questions.
- Suggested tasks, each marked Suggested for the person it was meant for. Tick the ones you want, edit them, then choose Create 2 tasks (the number follows your ticks). Use Not needed to set one aside and Bring back to restore it.
- Transcript, with Name speakers to swap the speaker labels for names. Linking a speaker to someone in People only changes the label for now; it does not add to their history.
- A Doc called “Meeting: …” in Docs with the same notes and a Transcript sub-page. Choose Open the notes to go there. Once you edit that Doc, Thendoo never rewrites it.
Delete meeting removes the recording, transcript and suggestions. Tasks you created stay, and you can tick Also delete the notes Doc.
