Switch from Google Keep
Google Keep is where quick thoughts land: shopping lists, ideas, half a plan on a sticky note. Those are worth keeping, and the importer is meant to sort them as they arrive.
Download your Keep data
Section titled “Download your Keep data”Google Keep data comes out through Google Takeout. You’d select Keep, download the archive and upload it to Thendoo. There is no Keep sign-in in the plan.
Notes and checklists go different ways
Section titled “Notes and checklists go different ways”- Plain notes become Docs.
- Checklist notes can become a checklist inside a Doc, or a List of tasks. A grocery list might stay a checklist, while “Things to fix at home” might be better as tasks. You choose in the preview.
- Labels become tags.
- Images attached to notes are copied in up to a size limit.
Archived notes come over hidden. Ticked items stay ticked.
Room to change your mind
Section titled “Room to change your mind”Nothing is saved until you confirm. If some notes land in the wrong place, undo the whole import from Import history on Settings → Import for 30 days and run it again with different choices. A second run never creates doubles. The Takeout file is deleted after the import.
What works today
Section titled “What works today”Use Capture for anything that needs doing. Press Ctrl K (⌘K on a Mac), type it, and press Shift Enter to drop it in the Inbox to sort later.
Got a long list? Put it in a spreadsheet, one task per row under a header row, and bring it in with the CSV file importer in Settings → Import. You match the columns, see a preview, and can undo for 30 days.
