Google Drive and Thendoo integration (planned)
Google Drive is not connected to Thendoo yet. See how planned Drive file links on tasks, Docs and events would work, and how to keep files handy today.

Set it up
- 1There is nothing to set up yet. Google Drive does not appear in Settings, then Connections, because it has not been built.
- 2Meanwhile, copy the file's share link from Drive and paste it into the task notes. It opens in Drive with one click.
Good to know
- Google Drive is not available in Thendoo today. Thendoo cannot see any of your Drive files.
- Connecting Google Calendar does not give Thendoo any Drive access. The two are separate permissions.

Files where you need them
A meeting is easier to start when the agenda is one click away. A tax task is easier when the right spreadsheet is attached. The plan is simple: attach a link to a Drive file on a task, a Doc or a calendar event, and open it in Drive straight from Thendoo.
Only the files you pick
The design uses Google’s own file picker. You choose a file in a Google window, and Thendoo gets access to that file, not to your whole Drive. This follows Thendoo’s rule of asking for the narrowest access, and only at the moment you first use the feature.
Thendoo would store the link and the file name. The file itself stays in Drive, with its sharing settings unchanged.
What it won’t do
It is not meant to sync folders, back up your Drive or edit files. Drive stays the home of your documents. Thendoo is where you decide when to work on them.
Today
Paste the Drive link into the notes of the task or event. If a file belongs to a repeating task, like a monthly budget sheet, put the link in the repeating task once and it comes along each time.
Troubleshooting
- I connected my Google account. Why can't I attach Drive files?
- The Google connection that exists today is for Calendar only, read-only. Drive is planned and not built. Paste the file link into the task notes for now.
- Will Thendoo be able to read my whole Drive?
- That is not the plan. The design uses Google's own file picker, so Thendoo only sees the files you pick, one at a time. Nothing is built yet, so check this page again when it ships.
