Daily habits, monthly checklist
Feeding and walking happen every day, so they are habits. Two meal times anchor the day with At a time reminders, and the rest follow with After another habit: food, then water, then the walk. Play or brushing is set to A few times a week, because three good sessions beat seven rushed ones.
The monthly jobs are different. They are easy to forget precisely because they are rare, and they don’t need a streak. So they live in one checklist task that repeats every month, with a fresh set of steps each time.
Fit it to your animal
- A cat? Delete the walk and replace the bags with litter in the monthly list.
- Medication or a special diet? Write exactly what your vet told you in the habit’s notes. This template gives no veterinary advice, so ask your vet what treatments and schedule suit your pet.
- Vaccinations and insurance renew on fixed dates. Put them in Life admin with the Other or Insurance type, and Thendoo reminds you at 09:00 on the lead day you choose.
An honest tip
Thendoo is single-user. If someone else in the house feeds the pet, they can’t tick it off in your account, and you may both feed breakfast. A note on the fridge or a shared group chat handles that better for now.
