Sunday weekly reset for home and life
One repeating Sunday checklist that resets the house and the week ahead, from laundry and the fridge to next week's calendar, in about an hour.
What’s inside
Sunday reset· 12 items
Start a load of laundry first, so it runs while you do the rest
Clear the fridge of anything past its best
Bins and recycling out for the week
Kitchen counters and sink cleared
Bedsheets or towels swapped
Bag and wallet emptied of receipts and wrappers
Plants watered
Next week's calendar read for early starts and evenings out
Clothes for Monday picked
Three easy dinners chosen for the start of the week
Inbox sorted, or at least looked at
One thing to look forward to put on the calendar
Why it’s one checklist, not twelve tasks
Twelve separate chores on Today look like a wall. One task called “Sunday reset” with twelve steps looks like one thing to do. A Checklist template is built for this: pressing Use creates a single task with the items as its steps.
Laundry comes first only because it runs in the background. The rest can go in any order. The last three steps are about the week ahead rather than the house, so Monday morning holds fewer surprises.
This is deliberately not a work review. For projects and next week’s priorities, Thendoo has a separate Weekly review that shows what got done, what is still open and asks for your Big rocks for next week. Do that one on Friday and keep Sunday for home.
Making it yours
- Templates don’t carry repeat rules, so add the repeat yourself once. The Every week on… preset keeps it on Sunday; pick Saturday if that suits you better.
- Change sheets every other week? Keep it as one step and skip it on alternate weeks.
- Live with others? Thendoo is single-user, so this list is yours. Write the shared chores on paper too.
An honest tip
If Sunday gets away from you, nothing piles up. A repeating task keeps only one copy open, so next week you get one reset, not two. Do the three steps that matter most and complete the task.
