Most of the morning happens the night before

The morning list is short because the evening list is long. Forms, kit, bags and clothes are all decisions, and decisions take longest at 7:45 with someone crying about socks. Moving them to the evening leaves the morning with only things that can’t be done early: getting up, eating, shoes, door.

Each list is a checklist template, so it arrives as one task with the lines as its steps. Set both to repeat, and every school day starts with a fresh copy. If a morning goes sideways, nothing stacks up: only one copy is open at a time.

Adapt it to your household

  • Different kids, different days? Add a line per child for their club day, like “Sam: swimming bag (Tue)”.
  • Pick-up changes are the usual surprise. Put after-school plans on the calendar so the first night-before step actually has something to check.
  • For school breaks, use Pause repeating on both tasks and Resume repeating when school is back.

An honest tip

Thendoo is single-user, and there are no kid accounts. These lists are for you, the parent. If your children are old enough to run their own checklist, print the morning list and stick it by the door. Kids tend to follow a paper list on the wall better than a parent reading out steps from a phone.
