Built for the busy workday
Akiflow describes itself as one app for tasks and calendars, built for founders and operators. Its core is a universal inbox: tasks from your other tools, emails and saved Slack messages land in one place. From there you drag them onto your calendar as time blocks. A daily planning ritual helps you decide what fits, and Aki, its AI assistant, can answer questions about your schedule and help block time.
Thendoo shares the time-blocking idea but starts from a different place. It plans one person’s whole day, not only the workday. Today shows your meetings from Google Calendar, your planned tasks, When/Then habits and bills that are due soon, all on one timeline.
Where they part ways
Inputs. This is the biggest gap. Akiflow connects to many tools and syncs both ways. Thendoo connects to Google Calendar and ClickUp, and everything else comes in through its Capture palette or Inbox. If your tasks are spread over many work tools, Akiflow saves more typing.
AI. Akiflow puts AI at the centre, with an assistant and an MCP connector in its Pro plan. Thendoo keeps planning manual on purpose: you see the free time and decide. That is slower, but some people with ADHD find a plan they made themselves easier to trust.
Life outside work. Thendoo adds habits with forgiving streaks, timed routines, a focus timer and a small money module. Akiflow’s pricing page lists none of these.
Price and devices. Akiflow is a paid product with desktop and phone apps and a 7-day trial. Thendoo runs in a browser, has no native apps yet, and is free during early access.
Choosing
If you manage a busy inbox of work across many tools and want AI help, Akiflow is built for that. If you want a gentler planner that holds your whole life on one screen, try Thendoo for a week of mornings and evenings, and keep the one that feels lighter.

Questions
Does Thendoo have an AI assistant like Aki?
No. Thendoo does not plan your day with AI. You place tasks yourself on the timeline. The only AI is in Meetings, and only when whoever runs the server turns on an AI service.
Can Thendoo turn emails or Slack messages into tasks?
Not today. You capture them by hand with the Capture palette or the Inbox. A Slack connection and Gmail are planned, without dates.
Is Thendoo cheaper than Akiflow?
Thendoo has a Free plan with no card and no time limit, and a paid Pro plan; current prices are on its pricing page. Akiflow has no free plan; it offers a 7-day trial and then the Pro plan.
