How this template works
Pick your departure day when you press Use, and every step lands on the right date: identity documents three weeks before, bookings two weeks before, the bag the evening before. You never need to count backwards in your head, and each one is waiting on Today when its day comes.
The steps are ordered by lead time, not by importance. Visa and entry rules come first because some can take more than a week to approve. Telling people comes a week out, which is early enough for them to plan and late enough that the dates won’t change.
Why it helps if you have ADHD
Trips fail at the edges: the passport that expired last month, or the charger still on the desk. A list in your head works until the busiest week of the year. Here each step is a dated task that shows up on Today on its day, with a checklist small enough to finish in one sitting.
The last item, the leave-the-house check, is deliberately short. At the door your working memory is at its fullest, so the checklist only covers the things that would turn the trip around.
Make it yours
- Traveling for work? Add an item at
-3to prepare the materials, and one at+1to file expenses. - Crossing time zones? With the default Times follow where I am setting, Thendoo shows your events in the zone you are in, so add a
0item to check the first day’s meetings on arrival. - Traveling often? Keep this template and apply it again for each trip with a new departure day.
