The short answer
Structured is a popular visual day planner that merges tasks and calendar events into one timeline, with apps for iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch, Android and the web, and a one-time purchase option for Pro. Thendoo also centers on a daily timeline but runs only in a browser, adding projects, habits, routines, ClickUp sync and money. Choose Structured for a light, mobile timeline; Thendoo for a deeper desk-based system.

Our take
Choose Structured if…
- You want a simple visual timeline on your phone, watch and Mac.
- You prefer paying once instead of a subscription.
- You need the app in a language other than English.
Choose Thendoo if…
- You want full projects, custom fields and Board or Table views next to your timeline.
- You want your assigned ClickUp tasks on your timeline.
- You want habits with When/Then cues, step-by-step routines and a money module in the same app.
The same picture of a day
Open either app and you see your day as a line from morning to night, with blocks on it. That shared picture is why people compare them. Structured keeps that picture light and mobile: a task is a block with a time and an icon, and the app runs on iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch, Android and the web.
Thendoo’s Today shows a similar timeline, with your meetings, your time blocks and gaps labelled as free time you can drop a task into. Beside it sits the To schedule tray, holding tasks due today, tasks Carried over from earlier days and, tucked under More, tasks with no date.
How deep each goes
Structured stays close to the timeline. It imports calendar events and Apple Reminders on Apple devices, offers AI planning help, and comes in more than 30 languages.
Thendoo stacks more behind the timeline. Tasks live in Spaces, folders and Lists, with custom statuses, custom fields, dependencies, checklists and four views. Habits use When/Then cues. Routines run step by step with a timer. The money module tracks accounts, budgets and bills, and bills due within a week appear on Today.
Devices and calendars favor Structured. Thendoo runs in the browser (it can be added to a phone’s home screen), reads only Google Calendar, and is in English only. Its reminders appear only while a Thendoo tab is open.
Pricing models differ. Structured Pro can be bought as a subscription or as a one-time purchase, priced by region. Thendoo is free during early access; paid plans will come later.
When each fits
If you want a clean visual day on the devices you carry and little else, Structured is the simpler choice. If your timeline needs to sit on top of real projects, several jobs, habits and money, Thendoo gives you more structure, at the cost of being desk-bound for now.
Moving from Structured to Thendoo
- 1Note your recurring Structured tasks before you switch. Thendoo has no Structured importer, so you move by hand.
- 2Connect Google Calendar under Connections. If your events live in iCloud or Outlook only, Thendoo can't read them yet.
- 3Re-add repeating tasks with presets such as Every weekday or Every week on…, and one-off tasks with the Capture palette (Ctrl+K / ⌘K).
- 4Give each task an estimate (for example ~45m) so it takes the right length when you drag it onto Today.
- 5Keep your phone alarms for time-critical items, since Thendoo reminders only appear while a browser tab is open.
Questions
Does Thendoo work on my iPhone like Structured?
Only through the web browser. There is no Thendoo phone app yet.
Can Thendoo read my iCloud calendar?
Not today. Thendoo reads Google Calendar only.
How long are Thendoo's time blocks by default?
A block uses the task's estimate, or 30 minutes if it has none. You can drag the edges to resize it.
